Music video gone feature film!
“You’ll need a gold one when the Devil Comes for you…”. Billy & The Bandits new single 36 Pennies follows the story of a cowboy who when confronted by the Devil is required to pay his dues. His past is catching up on him. And run as he might, there’s just no escaping it. Unless of course he has that gold one to the side. Originally written on banjo (mind you with a missing string) the song quickly developed to including pumping kick drum, heavy electric guitar, timpani and even a three-part string arrangement. Blending sounds of raw western county with an almost film or orchestral like flavour. It is certainly unique, but it all works together to tell the excellent story of 36 Pennies.
